D – This year’s Tendence was staged in Frankfurt from June 30 to July 3. According to the official figures, round 20,000 visitors (2017: over 20,000 visitors) took the opportunity of the four-day platform that boasted 960 exhibitors (2017: 1,125 exhibitors) to receive inspiration on product range and event design, product presentation and customer advertising at the POS, to network and to order products. The product portfolio comprised of the areas living, furnishing, decorating, gift items, jewellery, fashionwear, home textiles and outdoor items. According to the official accounts, the share of international buyers was 20% this year, which corresponds to a 5% increase compared to last year; the trade event especially experienced a growth in the number of visitors from the European core markets – primarily from countries like Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Spain.

On July 2 and 3, the conference Pioneers of Lifestyle was held at the Tendence for the first time, which brought together start-ups, medium-sized firms and companies from the lifestyle industry. The event went down very well with the industry and was already sold-out several days before the event began. A new feature this year was the cooperation with the Gardiente, a trade fair for garden furniture and sunshades.

The next Tendence is scheduled to take place at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre from June 29 to July 2, 2019.
