D – Every year since 2003, creative ideas and convincingly implemented campaigns in the haptic advertising segment are rewarded with the Promotional Gift Award. Ultimately, the award underlines creativity and professionalism, is confirmation for one’s own work and furthermore attracts attention as a result of the prize-giving ceremony at the HAPTICA® live and through publications in the trade magazines eppi magazine, Werbeartikel Nachrichten, Promotion Products and HAPTICA® as well as in their respective newsletters.
In order to be able to do justice to the diversity of the entries, the independent jury comprises of promotional products users from the industry as well as representatives of the trade press, event management and promotional products trade. Their different individual angles on the respective products submitted enable a differentiated evaluation. This year the panel of judges is receiving reinforcement on the user front: In addition to VW, Henkel and Jägermeister are also sending along their marketing experts. Hence, the jury currently comprises of the seven members Karin Froeter (Volkswagen Zubehör GmbH), Michael Mätzener (the Swiss promotional products agency “diewerbeartikel”), Ulrike Müßigbrodt (Henkel), Michael Scherer (WA Media), Michael Witzorrek (merchandise.blog), Martin Zettl (marke|ding|) and Jürgen Zimmer (Mast-Jägermeister SE).
The jury newcomer, Zimmer, who has been Head of Global Sourcing Promotional Products and Merchandising for Mast-Jägermeister since 2013: “I am delighted to be taking on the role of a jury member for the Promotional Gift Award 2019. For me the prize is a significant distinction for well thought-out and creative advertising material ideas in Germany and beyond. This is where highlights are presented and benchmarks set, which can spur other companies on to make a mark especially in the field of haptic advertising.”
Incidentally, anyone who would like to crown their creative performance in the area of haptic advertising with the Promotional Gift Award 2019 should register fast. The entry deadline is indeed not until November 30, 2018, however the early bird rate applies up until August 31. Participation then costs 180 Euros instead the regular fee of 220 Euros (or 250 Euros at the late bird rate).
