CH – The Swiss marketing association, Promoswiss, organised the 13th edition of the promotional products specialised trade show, the PSF Forum, on June 19, 2018 and the premiere of the Promoswiss Newsweek one day later. Both events were held in the Environmental Arena Spreitenbach, close to Zurich, which is favourably located in terms of traffic links. According to the official figures, 75 exhibitors presented their line-ups at both events. Whereas the PSF Forum was exclusively open to promotional products distributors, the concept of the Newsweek Switzerland was based on that of the German GWW-Newsweek, with whose organiser – the German promotional products association, GWW – Promoswiss cooperates. The target group of the Newsweek are industry customers, who are invited to attend by their distributors. Ten Swiss promotional products agencies support the concept, the majority of whom exhibited at their own counter in the foyer of the Environmental Arena.
According to accounts of the organiser, around 600 guests attended the two events, which covered the entire spectrum of haptic advertising. Several exhibitors would have welcomed more visitors at the PSF Forum and slightly more committed dialogues. Others praised the interested visitors and the intensive, detailed discussions. The prelude of the Newsweek proved to be extremely positive, the aisles were among others particularly crowded in the mornings, some exhibitors were busy non-stop. Towards midday, the flow of visitors did however die down slightly. The Promoswiss President, Roger Riwar, commented, “The volume of concrete enquiries can be assessed positively. Several exhibitors were also delighted to have actually wound up orders during the trade fair.” Furthermore, the general organisation of the events and the Promoswiss Gala, at which the Promoswiss Awards were festively presented, were praised by the exhibitors.
