USA – In the scope of the ninth L.E.A.D. (Legislative Education and Action Day) around 80 members of the American industry association PPAI (Promotional Products Association International) set off for Washington to discuss the most urgent themes of the promotional products industry and the interests of small companies with government representatives from all 50 states. On May 16 and 17, 2018 the focus lay primarily on protecting the promotional products industry as well as key issues such as independent companies, tax legislation, customs duties and the global value chain. “It is important for our industry to be portrayed in the right light,” stated Brittany David from the PPAI. “With an annual turnover of 23.3 billion Dollars and 500,000 jobs, we should be heard by all those people, who represent us in Washington.”
The L.E.A.D. is held annually and was initiated by the PPAI in order to represent the interests of the promotional products industry and carry out lobby work for haptic advertising.
