DK – The Myvendo Fair took place in Odense, Denmark for the second time on March 7 and 8, 2018. The trade fair that was organised last year for the first time is an initiative of the company Myvendo, the aim of which is to install a new event in Denmark that is exclusively dedicated to haptic advertising. According to the founder of Myvendo, Ole Larsen, 93 exhibitors (2017: 65 exhibitors) including numerous international companies exhibited at the Odense Congress Center – centrally located on the Island of Fyn in the middle of the country – at in some cases elaborately designed stands. The number of textile suppliers was noticeably high, sweets and snacks as well as designer items were also well represented. The visitors were led on a tour around the exhibition, selected novelties of the exhibitors were presented in several special zones. Overall, the trade fair had been organised with great attention to detail.
The official attendance figure was not available at the time of going to press. According to official accounts, around 550 visitors primarily from the Danish promotional products trade attended the premiere of the Myvendo Fair last year. It is likely that this figure was matched again, if not even topped. Many of the exhibitors praised the quality of the contacts and the organisation. The supporting programme comprised of a networking party on the first evening of the trade fair.
According to Larsen, he intends to significantly increase the number of exhibitors in 2019 and move to a larger exhibition hall. As such, the Myvendo Fair is on the best way to becoming one of the most important industry fairs in Scandinavia.
A detailed report will be published in eppi magazine No. 122 (April 18, 2018).
