CN – The 33rd edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair is taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from April 27-30, 2018. The show organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is one of the largest of its kind worldwide and is considered to be the platform where one can discover new gift items, promotional products and trends, groom business contacts and expand one’s networks. The event’s offer includes product demonstrations, seminars and forums as well as networking events. According to the official figures, in April 2017 the organisers registered around 47,000 visitors and over 4,300 exhibitors.
The Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair is divided up into 21 exhibition categories – a new introduction this year is the “Camping & Outdoor” Zone. The Hall of Fine Designs, where around 130 premium brands present their novelties and best-sellers, will no doubt once again be a crowd-puller. In 2017, the exhibitors included among others Hugo Boss, Moleskine, Cross and Nina Ricci. In the World of Gift Ideas the buyers can find trendy gift ideas, the Luxury Gifts Zone showcases silverware, porcelain and lifestyle items and the Licensed Gifts division is dedicated to licensed articles – an area where according to the HKTDC the Asiatic market is currently showing above-average development. The also growing demand for accessories for electronic devices is covered by the Tech Gifts Zone, whereas eco-friendly gifts can be found in the Green Gifts Area. Fashion accessories such as handbags and sunglasses are also presented in their own zone. There is going to be a Start-up Zone for the second time at the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair too, where young entrepreneurs and talented designers present their developments to the international audience and receive direct feedback. New and successful product designs with market potential will be distinguished with the Hong Kong Smart Design Award 2018 for the seventh time this year.
Anyone looking for original and high-quality packaging can find visit the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair in the AsiaWorld Expo that is being staged parallel to the HKTDC. A shuttle bus service connects the two exhibition grounds.
