EU – eppi magazine, the magazine for the European promotional products trade, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In 1998, WA Publishing, today WA Media, launched the English-language magazine, the name – “eppi” stands for “european promotional products industry” – was the subject matter of the publication from the very start. The initial circulation of 4,500 has in the meantime increased up to 10,000 copies. The magazine informs readers in 37 countries about the international market happenings six times a year. In addition to industry news, product trends, interviews, portraits and trade show reports the highlights of the content include the country reports that focus on a different market every year. The electronic newsletter, eppi newsflash, which contains current news items, appears every two weeks as a supplement to the print version.
For the current edition of eppi magazine No. 121, Michael Scherer, managing shareholder of WA Media; eppi magazine Project Manager Till Barth and his predecessor Brit München, today Project Manager of the HAPTICA® live and of the Promotional Gift Award, reviewed 20 years of the magazine’s history and talked about Babylonian confusion, almost forgotten product trends and editorial work on the road.
