UK – In the run-up to the Merchandise World (MW), which was staged in Silverstone, Great Britain from January 31-February 1, 2018, the exhibitors had the opportunity to apply for the Merchandise World Promotional Product Award. It was possible to enter innovative products between October 1 and December 15, 2017, which were then assessed by a jury in twelve categories including “Technology Product”, “Most Innovative”, “Best Design”, “Eco Product” and “Promotional Clothing” based on predefined criteria such as promotional impact, practical value and design. The three first places per category were each conferred with Platinum, Gold and Silver, the winners were already announced prior to the Merchandise World so that the exhibitors were able to use their distinctions for advertising purposes.
The winners of the MW Promotional Product Awards 2018 include among others Kalfany Süße Werbung. The specialist for promotional sweets received a Gold award in the category “Edible Product” for its product novelty the Organic Chia Cereal Bar and Silver for the Päx crispy fruit and vegetable mix. The vegan organic fruit gum bears in compostable promotional sachets also picked up Gold in the category “Eco Product”.
Listawood convincingly asserted itself against its fellow competitors by picking up no less than four medals. The patented photo mug ColourFusion was awarded Platinum in the category “Most Innovative” and the Colourfill Enamel Mug – in the category “Best Design” – where the motif is etched into the enamel mug. The Halo Mug was also honoured with the precious metal in the category “Desk Product” for its rim that can be customised in pantone colours, the inner ColourCoat mugs that can be colour coordinated in pantone shades collected Silver in the same category.
