D – After four exhibition days, the iENA – International Trade Fair “Ideas – Inventions – New Products” closed its doors on November 5, 2017 on a positive note. At the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, around 500 inventors and license holders from 31 countries presented 850 developments from different industries that are about to be launched onto the market. According to the official figures, around 11,100 trade visitors (2016: 9,500), approx. two thirds of whom were first-time visitors, took advantage of the opportunity to inform themselves about new ideas, get initial agreement and licensing negotiations rolling and establish contacts. Interested entrepreneurs and investors from the industry, automobile and electro-technology sectors were particularly strongly represented.
The supporting programme of the iENA encompassed specialised lectures and discussion rounds on current issues to do with inventing as well as consulting offers of organisations and associations such as the German Patent & Trademark Office (DPMA). The IdeaDialogueForum offered interesting insights into the work of developers and creative minds and intensified the exchange between the trade visitors and inventors. The accompanying START – Nuremberg Exhibition provided information on the themes founding companies, company succession and franchising.
The next iENA will take place in Nuremberg from November 1-4, 2018.
