D – The 31st edition of A+A, the leading global trade show for personal protection, work safety and health at work that takes place every two years, and which was held from October 17-20, 2017 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre achieved top results. According to the official figures, over 67,000 trade visitors (2015: 65,000) attended the largest industry show in the world in order to inform themselves about the latest trends in the areas of work safety, health promotion at work and safety management in firms, which were presented by 1,931 exhibitors from 63 nations across nine exhibition halls and exhibition space spanning 70,733 m². Lying at around 40%, the share of international visitors, who came from over 100 nations, exceeded that of the previous event.

Suppliers of protective and work clothing, safety shoes, work safety accessories and safety technology dominated the scene in the halls, numerous suppliers from the promotional products sector – predominantly suppliers of corporate wear such as Daiber, Fruit of the Loom, Halfors, Karlowski, New Wave or Promodoro as well as from the tool segment, i.e. LED Lenser, Martor or MSA Münchinger – were among the exhibitors. For many textile companies the workwear market is according to own accounts an important buyer market. The strong textile focus of the A+A is among others reflected by a professionally organised fashion show that takes place several times daily. The event is accompanied by an international congress for work safety and occupational medicine that is held parallel.
