CH – The third edition of the marke|ding| Switzerland was staged from May 16-17, 2017. According to the official figures, 84 exhibitors including seven Swiss trading agencies as sponsors – cadolino® and lacoray® by comTeam AG, diewerbeartikel gmbh, E7 promotion, Gemaco CPT, KW open, Pandinavia and Polydono – presented their products and services in Hall 2 of the Lucerne Exhibition Centre. Even if slightly fewer haptic advertising suppliers (77) exhibited compared to the previous year (2016: 90 suppliers), the spectrum of haptic advertising items was well-represented by full-range stockists and specialists. The exhibitors and the sponsoring agencies – whose employees welcomed their customers and competently accompanied them on their tour around the show – excelled with professional and CI-compatible presentations, as usual great attention had been paid to detail regarding the layout of the exhibition and the show was spaciously designed.
Beyond the product presentations of the exhibitors and the demonstration of several examples of best practice on the implementation of haptic advertising, the “Point of Haptic” and the Lounge that invited the guests to relax proved to be special attractions for the according to the official figures 850 visitors. In addition to the lectures of various speakers, the Swiss artist Urs Rudin produced sand-painted portraits of the guests on both days of the event, the genesis of which could be followed live on big screens. The exhibitors especially accentuated the quality of the visitors, the good organisation and the hospitality of the organisers.
Next year the marke|ding| Switzerland is to be staged in Lucerne again. A detailed report will be published in eppi magazine, No. 117 (June 7, 2017).
