CN – The 32nd edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair is being staged at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from April 27-30, 2017. The event, which is the leading trade fair for promotional and gift items worldwide, is organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and according to own accounts is expecting more than 4,300 exhibitors this year. Last year, around 50,000 buyers took advantage of the opportunity to inform themselves about international trends.
The 25 theme zones of the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair are being enhanced by two further new theme zones this year – “Vintage Gifts” and “Hair Ornament & Accessories” – which target among others vintage fans and fashion and beauty enthusiasts. A further attraction in 2017 will once again be the Hall of Fine Designs in Hall 1 of the exhibition complex. With its over 130 designer brands, it stands for trendy and exclusive gift ideas from all over the globe. The World of Gift Ideas in the same hall forms the ideal counterpart. Here the buyers can also find a wide range of new and high-quality gifts for different occasions. The iAcccesories and Tech Gifts Zone accommodates the trend towards smart gadgets as a complement to smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices. The Green Gifts Zone, which presents products made of natural materials made using eco-friendly production methods, is dedicated to the theme of sustainability. The visitors can find ideas and the forward-looking designs of young creatives and company founders in the Avenue of Inspiration, whilst the Art & DIY Gifts Zone picks up on the trend towards the personalisation of gifts. Here paintings, sculptures and art sets encourage the consumers to be creative themselves.
An interesting accompanying programme, including the presentation of new products, seminars on global trends and market developments within the industry as well as various networking events, rounds of the trade show. Furthermore, the Hong Kong Exporters‘ Association (HKEA) will be conferring the Hong Kong Smart Gifts Design Awards for the sixth time, which will be exhibited to the trade fair visitors on a separate area. The HKTDC Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair is being staged simultaneously at the AsiaWorld-Expo. A shuttle bus service connects the two fair grounds.
