CH – The second edition of marke|ding| Switzerland was staged in Lucerne on June 1–2, 2016. According to the official accounts, 97 exhibitors – including seven Swiss trading agencies – presented themselves as sponsors of the event in Hall 1 of the Lucerne exhibition halls.

In comparison to the already very successful premiere last year, a clearly visible surge in professionalism was noticeable again at the 2016 event: The layout of the exhibition was spacious and great attention had been paid to detail. The “Point of Haptic” – where first-class lectures were held on a multimedia assisted stage – and a relaxed lounge area formed an attractive central point in the middle of the hall.

The 90 haptic advertising suppliers – renowned international operating full stockists and specialists – provided a good reflection of the market offer of haptic advertising. The organiser, Michael Mätzener: “The quality of the visitors was extremely high, this was confirmed by the sponsors. We received 1,600 registrations and with an attendance figure of 900 visitors, we didn’t quite reach the target we had set ourselves of welcoming 1,000 guests. Both the exhibitors and visitors praised the event and called for its continuation in an annual rhythm. Having recorded 2,800 in total, the concrete enquiries were up 45% compared to the previous year.”

The third edition of the marke|ding| Switzerland will tentatively take place on May 16 and 17, 2017. A further report will follow in eppi magazine, No. 112 (August 24, 2016).
