RUS – This year’s spring edition of the IPSA, Russia’s largest promotional products show, was held at the Crocus Expo in the Russian capital, Moscow, from March 15-17, 2016. 100 companies (2015: 95), including 48 first-time exhibitors among others from India, China, the USA and Sweden, professionally showcased the entire spectrum of haptic advertising at the 29th edition of the promotional products trade fair that is organised by Reed Exhibitions and supported by the PSI (Promotional Products Service Institute). In total, according to the official figures, 3,749 visitors attended the IPSA over the three days (2015: 2.960), this corresponds to an almost 27% increase in the number of visitors compared to the spring edition of the previous year. 25% of the visitors were industry customers, 31% advertising agencies and distributors and 8% retailers or representatives of chain stores. 83% of the visitors came from Moscow or from the Moscow area.
As in the previous year, the IPSA was accompanied by a well-attended lecture and conference programme, among others on the effectiveness of promotional products and seasonal trends. The speakers were from companies like AlterEgo, Bright Concept, Faber-Castell Anadolu, Megamind.ru, Projekt 111 and Senator. A new format at this year’s spring edition was a novelty gallery, where 37 exhibits were exclusively presented to the audience. The visitors were able to select their favourites. The top three favourites were awarded a discount on the participation fee for the autumn edition of the IPSA, which is scheduled to take place from September 6-8, 2016 once again at the Crocus Expo in Moscow.
