E – This year’s Promogift took place from January 27-29, 2016. Once again, the trade show that is exclusively open to trade visitors from the promotional products industry was organised by the IFEMA in close cooperation with the two Spanish industry associations FYVAR and aimfap and was staged in Hall 12 of the Exhibition Centre in Madrid.
According to the official figures, around 200 exhibitors presented their portfolios. As such, the entire spectrum of haptic advertising was covered – besides the Iberian suppliers, internationally-operating full-range stockists and specialists also exhibited at the show. In addition to promotional products, a further focus lay on customising technologies.
The event was already evidently well-attended on the first day, whereas on the second day the stands were in some cases completely packed. Some of the exhibitors had already run out of catalogues by then.
The mood was very positive, a busy, working atmosphere prevailed. The hall layout of the fair and its very elaborately designed appearance – for instance CI-compatible carpets – was very convincing, the (uniform) stands were clearly arranged and yet significant.
The official attendance figure was not available at the time of going to press. However, by all appearances and with a view to the in some cases euphoric exhibitors, the upward trend that the Spanish market was already experiencing is apparently forging ahead at a dynamic pace. The next Promogift is scheduled to take place in Madrid from January 25-27, 2017.
A detailed report will be published in eppi magazine, No. 109 (February 17, 2016).
