D – On August 6, 2014 the 100th issue of eppi magazine was published. The European promotional products trade magazine – “eppi” stands for “european promotional products industry” – was launched at the beginning of 1998 by the Cologne-based company WA Publishing (today WA Media). The aim was to create a platform for the European promotional products industry, as the European counterpart to WA’s German-speaking promotional products publication Werbeartikel Nachrichten that was already established in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Since then, eppi magazine has been published six times a year in English. Whereas the first issue of the magazine only comprised of 16 pages, today it contains at least 80 pages, filled with industry news, products, trade fair reports, background reports and company and country portraits. The magazine is in the meantime read by 10,000 promotional products distributors and suppliers in 31 European countries.
100 issues of eppi magazine are synonymous with 16 years of coverage on the European promotional products market. To commemorate the occasion, the jubilee edition is looking back on the history of the industry since 1998.
