UK – According to an analysis published by the British industry service provider Sourcing City, the British promotional products market experienced a significant growth of 8.6% in 2013. The total UK market is now over 830 British Pounds (approx. 1 bil. Euros), which represents a growth of 67.5 mil. Pounds (approx. 81.6 mil. Euros) within one year.
This growth, together with recent press reports which have stated that the UK advertising market is set to have its best year since the pre-recession days of 2008, gives cause for optimism, Sourcing City says. Ironically, the past year saw a greater number of promotional products companies in Britain ceasing to trade than in the previous few years. In 2013, according to Sourcing City, 122 distributor companies fell by the wayside. This was the highest loss of distributors since 2009. Supplier companies who ceased to trade totalled 56.
