I – The 14th edition of the pte – Promotion Trade Exhibition – was staged from January 22-24, 2014. As usual, the venue location was the Fiera Milano City, Entrance Porta Teodorico. However, contrary to past events, instead of occupying Hall 3 this time the show was staged in the smaller Hall 1. The event that was, as always, organised by the Italian publishing company, O.P.S., stood under the patronship of Italian association acp (and not as in the past under the patronship of the Italian promotional products association, Assoprom).
According to the official figures, around 160 exhibitors and represented brands presented their wares and fares to the trade visitors – only promotional products distributors are allowed to visit the show. In the run-up to the fair, the organisers had seen the 7% increase in the number of exhibitors compared to the previous year to be a positive sign for the recovery of the Italian market. The exhibitors included international all-rounders and specialists, mainly from Italy, but also from Germany, Poland, France and Spain for example. The strong presence of suppliers of textile promotional products was very noticeable, the industry giants PF Concept and Mid Ocean Brands, both of whom didn’t exhibit at the PSI in Düsseldorf, had stands at the event.
The official attendance figures were not available at the time of going to press, however according to the majority of the exhibitors the previous attendance figures recorded – regularly well over 4,000 visitors – definitely seem to have been equalled, if not indeed surpassed.
