The company was able to increase its turnover by 1% up to 164.5 mil. US dollars (approx. 122.4 mil. Euros) compared to the same period in 2012. The overall turnover increased by 5% in the first nine months of 2013, including a growth of 6% in the wholesale sector. However, the company did suffer a strong decrease in EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization): 13.3 mil. US dollars (approx. 9.9 mil. Euros) in the third quarter of 2012 compared to 3.8 mil. US dollars (approx. 2.8 mil. Euros) for the same period this year. “Our lower EBITDA performance was substantially impacted by events surrounding the transition to and opening of our new distribution center,” said John Luttrell, chief financial officer. “However, we believe that these issues are now substantially behind us, and although there will be some remaining transition costs in the fourth quarter of 2013, we do not anticipate that these transition and start-up costs will negatively affect our financial performance in 2014.”
