On September 12, 2013 this year’s RelatieZ took place at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht as usual. The emphasis of the 74 exhibitors who presented their wares and fares in Hall 5 of the Expo and Congress Centre was equally traditional: The show focused on the year-end business. The product show, which is organised by the Dutch publishing company and exhibition organiser Het Portaal Uitgevers, presented trendy Christmas gift ideas and original customer bonding concepts. Above all gift baskets, bags and boxes – “Kerstpakketten“ as they are called in the Netherlands – are implemented at the end of the year as small tokens of appreciation for employees or customers.
New this year was the reduced format of the event; it was held on one day instead of two. A decision that was clearly welcomed by the exhibitors and which was also confirmed by the positive official attendance figures: Whereas the organisers recorded 1,258 guests over both days in 2012, in 2013 a total of 1,078 trade visitors attended this year’s one-day event.
