NL – Mid Ocean Brands BV has been taken over by the shareholders of Van Helden/Giving Europe and the current management of Mid Ocean Brands. The former investor group Avedon Capital Partners and ABN AMRO Participations gave the green light for the take-over in mid- April, which is expected to become officially completed in mid-May.

Both companies are betting on the synergy effects in the customising, sales and procurement sectors. They will however continue to operate independently on the market and under their own company names. The operating procedures, contact partners and existing cooperations with the trade will not be affected by the take-over, according to an official statement released by Giving Europe. Rutger de Planque, who has been Mid Ocean Brand’s CEO since October 2012, will carry on running the company.

Mid Ocean Brands has challenging growth ambitions for the future.“
