UK – According to a new market analysis provided by the British industry service provider Sourcing City, the overall turnover of the promotional products industry in the UK and Ireland was 763 mil. British Pounds (approx. 935.8 Euros) in 2012. This corresponds to a small growth of 1.1% compared to 2011 (754 mil. Pounds). Ireland alone, according to the survey, has a market spend of around 52.7 mil. Euros. As in previous surveys, these figures are based on the amount of money spent by promotional products users.

Sourcing City estimates the current number of market participants in the UK and Ireland at 1,953 distributors and 1,854 suppliers. The authors of the study do not expect substantial growth in the overall UK & Ireland promotional merchandise market in the immediate future.

According to Sourcing City, the most popular product group in 2012 were bags, followed by pens, plastic give-aways, clothing and mugs.
