I – The 21st edition of the Promotion Expo was staged in Hall 3 of the Fiera Milano City in Milan from March 21-23, 2012. Similar to last year, there were fewer exhibitors and less exhibition space. Just under 200 exhibitors presented their wares and fares – the official attendance figures were not available by the editorial deadline. However, it is definitely worth noting that the lecture and seminar programme, which was held in two different function rooms simultaneously, was at times completely overrun.
The event that was as in previous years also organised by the Italian publishing company, O.P.S, which is based inMilan, offered a very good overview of the market and several renowned brand-name companies were also on board. The individual trade fair zones were colour coordinated, which made it easy for the visitors to find their way around.
The target group of the show is primarily marketing decision-makers and industry users. However, the fair is also visited by many promotional products distributors, because they encounter brand-names here that don’t exhibit at the Promotion Trade Exhibition (PTE), which is held in Milanat the end of January. The Italian promotional products association, Assoprom, was also flying its flag in its capacity as an exhibitor. A detailed report will follow in eppi magazine No. 87 (May 30, 2012).
