CH – The eighth edition of the markeding Switzerland was staged on March 8, 2022, for the first time at the Zurich Congress Centre this year. According to the official figures, the “Festival of Haptic Advertising” attracted 495 visitors and thus more than last year (400 visitors on August 26, 2021). “After a lot of uncertainty and diverse challenges in the run-up to the event, our courageous decision to stage the trade show in March was ultimately rewarded and the event turned out to be a success as is customary,” summed up Michael Mätzener from the organising company, promoFacts. He added that the trade fair was already able to welcome 200 visitors within the first hour after opening. Furthermore, unlike in previous years, the flow of visitors didn’t start to wane in the afternoon and the last guests even checked in after 4 p.m. Also new: Whereas it was still obligatory to wear a face mask last year, this was no longer compulsory at the time of the show on March 8. The vaccinated or recovered and vaccinated, recovered or tested regulations were also no longer applicable.

The markeding Switzerland, which attracted six inviting agencies and 42 exhibitors according to the organisers of the show, was rounded off by an extensive, German-language lecture programme. Mätzener: “Thanks to the efforts of every individual sponsor and exhibitor, and of course our own efforts as organisers of the event, we once again this year succeeded in increasing the number of visitors, enquiries and above all we generated more offers too. The interest and quality of the visitors was extremely high and a fantastic atmosphere prevailed! The date for the next event in 2023 will be announced in the coming weeks.”
