Design awards for Kahla

D – At the award ceremony of the international design prize, the Focus Open Award 2017, held at the Scala Ludwigsburg on October 13, 2017, Kahla won two Gold Awards. The gastronomy and household porcelain O – The better Place that was designed by Prof. Barbara Schmidt won an award in the category Table and Kitchen Culture, which was at the same time the 100th design award for Kahla. Followed by prize number 101 for the to-go concept cupit by the designer, Lisa Keller, which won the race in the category Sustainability of the competition that is organised by the Design Center Baden-Württemberg.

Distinguished in the category Sustainability: cupit – a stylish, modern reusable concept for to-go coffee, tea and snack enjoyment.

“Design with added value”: The gastronomy and household porcelain O – The better Place won the race in the category Table and Kitchen Culture.

“We are delighted about the two first-class prizes and congratulate our two designers. These distinctions demonstrate the high standing of innovative, progressive design that prevails at Kahla,” stated the managing partner, Holger Raithel, whose father Günther Raithel founded the company that specialises in crockery and tableware in 1994 under the guiding principle “Design with added value”.
