E – The 4th edition of the C!Print Madrid closed its doors after three days on September 28, 2017 in the Pabellón de Cristal on the Casa de Campo in the Spanish capital. According to the organisers, SC6, a Spanish subsidiary of the exhibition organisers, 656 Group (C!Print/CTCO in Lyon), the platform for visual communication, printing technologies and promotional products and textiles underlined its significance for the Spanish market: With 11,901 visitors, the 4th edition almost matched the very good results achieved the year previously (12,181). There was slight increase in the number of exhibitors: 270 companies (2016: 264) – including numerous famous brands and market leaders – presented their services and products, including predominantly customising specialists as well as manufacturers of printing machines and the respective materials. A strong focus was placed on innovations in the digital printing segment this year – according to the organisers this was proof of the rapidly increasing significance of digital solutions. The possibilities for digital design were impressively demonstrated in the two centrally located Plug&Play special zones. Further innovations that could be marvelled at included among others ecological ink and 3D printers. 42 specialists for haptic advertising exhibited in an own zone, the CTCO Area, including several big players from the Iberian Peninsula as well as international companies.
As usual, an extensive supporting programme comprising of lectures, workshops and discussion forums accompanied the trade fair – in total it was possible to visit 47 events on themes such as design, marketing and advertising.
