UK – The curtain went up again at the NEC in Birmingham from February 26-28, 2017 for the 28th edition of Printwear & Promotion Live!, the show for promotion textiles and textile embellishments of all kinds that is organised by the English service provider, Datateam Business Media. The entire spectrum of textile promotional products from business outfits to baby bibs was presented at the exhibition centre at the international airport. The focus was also on the individualisation of items per print and embroidery, which was impressively demonstrated on caps, shirts, bags and co. “Athleisure“ – fashionable sports clothes that can also be worn for everyday business life – is a clear trend this year. Further product highlights included individually designed sports accessories such as footballs or trainers. The around 150 exhibitors – including international textile brands, wholesalers, suppliers and customising specialists – profited from this year’s relocation of the show to Hall 20 of the NEC, which, according to the organisers, offered approx. 350 m² more space for eye-catching stand constructions and live embellishing. It also created more space for the supporting programme – catwalk, lectures and workshops.

With 5,620 visitors, as in the last two years the organisers achieved record figures again (2016: 5,376 visitors), the result on the exhibitor side also proved positive. The 29th edition of the Printwear & Promotion Live! that is being staged in Halls 17 and 18 of the NEC Birmingham from January 21-23, 2018 will show whether the upwards trend is ongoing.

A detailed report will follow in eppi magazine, No. 116 (April 12, 2017).
