Petra Lassahn appointed Director of the PSI Show

D – Petra Lassahn (49), Business Area Director at Reed Exhibitions since 2006 and a member of the extended executive board for the last two years, is taking over the management of the PSI Show in addition to her existing areas of responsibility. In this function she succeeds Silke Frank (43), who will be taking on a new position within the company from the summer onwards as Event Director of the FIBO. The FIBO is the leading international show for fitness, wellness and health, which takes place annually in Cologne with the participation of around 950 exhibitors and over 150,000 visitors.

They have succeeded in leading the PSI trade show out of an anything but easy situation to new greatness and panache with plenty of energy and fresh ideas“, stated Michael Freter, who has the overall responsibility for the PSI in his capacity as PSI Managing Director. “At the same time, we in the PSI family extend a very warm welcome to Petra Lassahn who is an extremely experienced trade fair organiser who comes with 30 years of trade fair experience under her belt.”

Lassahn started her trade fair career in Cologne in 1987, subsequently worked for Blenheim and Miller Freeman, then went on to the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre and has been employed by Reed Exhibitions since 2006. In her capacity as Business Area Director, she has been responsible for the viscom since then, which is staged alternately in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. She is also responsible for the Bar Convent Berlin, Europe’s biggest specialised bar show. Previous to that, Lassahn directed the IMA – International Trade Fair for Entertainment and Vending Machines – for many years.

In future, the new Director of the PSI Show will be supported by Nina Schiffhauer (30), who in her capacity as Project Manager is responsible for the operational management of the trade fair. The business economist, who studied International Business and Management, already joined the PSI team in 2010.
