D – After five days, the Ambiente came to a close on February 14, 2017 in Frankfurt. According to the official figures, in total 142,000 buyers from 154 countries (2016: 135,988 from 142 countries) attended the world’s leading trade show for the consumer goods industry to examine the product ranges of the 4,454 exhibitors from 96 countries (2016: 4,386 from 95 countries). The novelties, trends and innovations in the product segments Tables, Kitchens, Household Items, Gifts, Living and Decorating that were showcased in 27 halls extended over exhibition space covering 308,000 gross square metres.
“The Ambiente is the global summit meeting of the consumer goods industry,” is how Detlef Braun, Executive Director of the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre, underlined the international significance of the Ambiente. With a share of 55%, over half of the visitors travelled to the metropolis on the Main from abroad. Furthermore, at 80% the share of international exhibitors hit a record level. According to the organisers, both German and international top decision-makers from all forms of trading were more strongly represented than a year ago, which ensured good export business and a fantastic atmosphere in the exhibition halls. According to the visitor survey, at 95% the level of satisfaction remained at a constant high level.
The next edition of Ambiente is scheduled to take place in Frankfurt from February 9-13, 2018.
