F – The CTCO was held for the 10th time from January 31-February 2, 2017 at the Eurexpo in Lyon. Launched as Communiquez Textile! in 2008 and later renamed CTCO and subsequently extended to include C!Print, which is staged parallel, the trade fair has been organised by the Lyon-based publishing company and fair organiser 656 Editions annually ever since. In its anniversary year, CTCO was once again able to confirm its position as the leading promotional products show for France and Southern Europe: With, according to the official figures, 280 exhibitors (2016: 258) and 10,733 trade visitors (2016: 9,070) the event registered good growth. According to the organisers, around one quarter of the suppliers that exhibited in Halls 2 and 3 of the Eurexpo were first-time exhibitors, the level of internationality of the exhibitors was also high as always. As such, the trade fair offered a comprehensive overview of the trends on the haptic advertising market. Furthermore, almost 140 brand-new “must-see products” were showcased in the “Les Must” special zone. A conference programme on current themes such as supply chain management, product safety and e-Commerce rounded off the CTCO.
Finally, following tradition the French industry association, 2FPCO, also used the CTCO as a presentation and contact platform. In the scope of its soirée on the evening of the first day of the fair at the Selcius Club in Lyon, the association conferred its POP Awards to several supplier partners.
In 2018, the CTCO and C!Print are scheduled from February 6 to 8 at the Eurexpo in Lyon. A detailed report will be published in eppi magazine, No. 116 (April 12, 2017).
