E – The Promogift 17 – Salón Internacional del Regalo Promocional – took place in Hall 12 of the Madrid Exhibition Centre from January 24-26, 2017 and was, as in previous years, organised by the exhibition company, IFEMA. It was once again staged under the aegis of the two Spanish promotional products associations, aimfap (Asociación de Importadores, Mayoristas y Fabricantes de Artículos Promocionales) and FYVAR (Asociación de Fabricantes y Vendedores de Artículos Promocionales y Publicitarios).
The show was well organised and presented itself in a CI-conform design with carpets and balloon arrangements in yellow and pink. According to the official figures, 335 suppliers and distributors from 29 countries presented their wares and fares on a gross exhibition surface measuring 15,000 m² – which corresponds to a 20% growth rate. Once again customising machines took up a lot of space, predominantly printing machines for embellishing textiles, but also embroidery machines, laser systems, digital printing machines and machines for badges.
The official attendance figure was not available at the time of going to press. However, according to the exhibitors and the initial impression, the event was very well attended, obviously a sign that the Spanish economy is recovering, which is in turn also providing impulses for the haptic advertising market.
A detailed report will be printed in eppi magazine, No. 115 (February 15, 2017).
