Welcome Home 2016: Welcome to the Red Sofa

D – “Welcome Home” was not only the name of the event series that attracted promotional products distributors to six German locations from November 29 – December 8, but also the programme. In addition to their novelties for 2017, four of the nine supplier partners Daiber, Fare, Geiger-Notes, Halfar, Jung Bonbon, koziol, Reflects by LM Accessoires/aditan, mbw and uma also presented their production sites and enabled the visitors to take a look behind the scenes. A new feature of the tour: the Red Sofa, which is a key visual of the image of the Welcome Home that was updated this year and which stands for the cosy, family-like character of the event. A further new aspect this year was the fact that the distributors were able to invite their industry customers to accompany them – an option that according to the exhibitors very few visitors took advantage of.

Full house at LM Accessoires in Cologne.

The tour started on November 29 at an event location in Hamburg, followed by stops at Halfar in Bielefeld on December 30 and at LM Accessoires with its subsidiary aditan in Cologne on December 1. In the second week the suppliers first of all welcomed their visitors in Taufkirchen near Munich on December 6. Then on December 7, Jung Bonbon invited guests to Vaihingen near Stuttgart, before the tour came to a close on December 8 at Geiger-Notes in Mainz-Kastel. According to the organisers, 857 visitors (2015: 757 visitors) took the opportunity to get to know new products in a relaxed atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of big shows and also inform themselves about the production of promotional products from sweets to bags.
