EU – William Chui is the new Regional Director Europe of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). Chui will run the strategic development and promotion of the business relationships between Hong Kong and the European countries, including Russia, Turkey and Israel from the German office. He succeeds Stephen Wong, who held the post since March 2013 and who has now returned back to Hong Kong.
Chui has been employed in various management positions all of an international nature since joining HKTDC in the year 1987 and was among others responsible for industry contacts, bilateral committees and the Hong Kong business associations abroad as well as for the organisation of trade shows. Before relocating to Frankfurt am Main he was employed as the Director of International & Mainland Relations from 2011 until 2016, and from 2002 until 2011 he ran the Product Promotion areas and was later responsible for Service Promotion in Hong Kong. Chui passed an MBA at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, completed a degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Marketing diploma at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
