CDN – This year’s autumn meeting of the globally operating distributor alliance, WAGE (World Advertising Gifts Exchange) took place in Ontario from October 13-16, 2016. The Canadian member, Talbot Promo, which is located in London, Ontario hosted the meeting. In addition to the meeting that is held during the PSI Show in January and the AGM in Hong Kong in April, the alliance that was founded in 1958 meets up every autumn at the location of one of its member companies. During the three-day meeting, among others joint projects, the external image of the group and PR measures are discussed.

The members of WAGE profit from the mutual exchange as well as from a product database that is available to all members. The jointly operated CSR Suppliers Database, in which exclusively certified suppliers are listed and administrated, is the centrepiece thereof. According to own accounts, the currently 21 distributors organised within WAGE – only one member is allowed per country – make an overall turnover worldwide of 330 mil. Euros and employ over 1,000 employees. The current Executive Committee of the alliance comprises of the President Jo-an Lantz (Geiger, USA), Maxim Makarov (Project111, Russia) and Steve Levschuk (Talbot Promo, Canada). Gottfried Pohn (Istac Promotion, Austria) is Director and Secretary of the organisation.
