D – According to own accounts, last year (Reporting date: June 30, 2016) the Schwan-STABILO group achieved the highest turnover in the over 160-year history of the company: 706.7 mil. Euros. The turnover increased by more than 100 mil. Euros, which corresponds to a rise of 18% compared to the same period of the previous year (601 mil. Euros).
According to official statements, all three divisions – Cosmetics, Writing Instruments and Outdoor – contributed to the overall result with strong growth: The Cosmetics area achieved a growth of 14.3% up to 364.3 mil. Euros (previous year +7.2%). The STABILO division (writing instruments) grew by almost 10% (previous year +3.3%), increasing its turnover up to 185.2 mil. Euros. The Outdoor segment turned over 157.1 mil. Euros, an increase of over 40% (previous year +15%). “In the case of STABILO, the otherwise slowly growing market experienced a strong boost, especially thanks to the worldwide colouring trend among grown-ups,” the CEO of the group, Dr. Jörg Karas, said.
