MEX – The international distributor alliance, Ippag (International Partnership for Premiums & Gifts), held its autumn meeting from September 27 to October 1, 2016. As usual, one of the member companies hosted the meeting – this year the choice had fallen on the Mexican member, Eximagen. Ippag members from Argentina, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Dubai, Germany, Great Britain, Guatemala, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Sweden accepted the invitation to Mexico City, in order to discuss and push the projects of the cooperative and engage in an intense exchange. Several meetings and discussion rounds offered plenty of opportunity to do precisely that. The themes addressed included among others brand relaunches to increase one’s own recognition level as well as CSR and quality controls incorporated in everyday business with the aid of Ippag’s own resources. The attending members additionally gave an insight into their own work.
As usual, there was also a comprehensive supporting programme: For example, the participants not only visited various sights in the mega city, but also the premises of Eximagen which expand over 5,000 m², offer space for 4,000 palette storage places and where around 3 mil. items are customised every month. The official Ippag dinner followed on the evening of September 30, which was held in a traditional Mexican restaurant including Mariachi music. This was taken as the occasion for presenting the Ippag Awards, which went to the members Lesmar (UK), Wackes (S) and Compacon (NL). The meeting was brought to a close with a visit to the world-famous prehistoric ruins of Teotihuacán on the last day.
The British member, Lesmar, which is located in St Albans, near London will be hosting the Ippag meeting in autumn 2017.
