Kalfany Süße Werbung: Triple anniversary

D – Under the motto “Let’s celebrate!” Kalfany Süße Werbung celebrated three anniversaries simultaneously on July 15, 2016 at the Europa Park, a theme park in the Black Forest: Whilst the sweets specialist celebrated its 35th anniversary, the brand Pulmoll’s history – one of the most successful products in the line-up of the company from Germany – looked back on 60 years. Last, but not least, the sugar refinery, Tangermünde Fr. Meyers Sohn, which became Zertus GmbH in 2002, was founded 190 years ago. The holding company of Kalfany Süße Werbung has shares in eight specialised food companies. Almost 2,000 employees work for the group at eleven production sites and a further seven locations in six countries.

The Executive Directors of Kalfany Süße Werbung – Fritz Haasen, Klaus Richter and Elmar Schlesinger – summed up the company history of the confectionery specialist during the gala dinner. Founded by Pieter Schubert in 1981 as a confectionery business in the Black Forest, the company has developed into one of the leading sweets suppliers of the promotional products market over the course of the years. The company has been producing at the location in Herbolzheim since 1998 and disposes of its own fruit gum and sweets production, a chocolate factory, a modern printing technology centre offering digital, flexo and pad printing as well as a packaging company. Certified quality and exclusive brand partnerships, including among others Ferrero, Katjes, Dextro Energy and My M&M‘s®, all contribute to the recipe for success of Kalfany Süße Werbung. The Pulmoll sweet that was introduced onto the German market by the French pharmacist Jacques Lafarge in 1956 also makes up part of the company’ portfolio. The pastilles in the red tin are still produced according to almost the same recipe.
