IND – This year’s 14th edition of the Gifts World Expo was held in Hall 7 of the Exhibition Complex Pragatii Maidan in the Indian capital New Delhi parallel to the Stationery World Expo – both organised by MEX Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. The organiser declared the trade show to be “India’s Biggest Show on the Gifting Industry & Promotional Materials“. According to the official figures, more than 150 exhibitors presented their products and services, mostly – but not exclusively – at uniform stands.

The official attendance figures weren’t available at the time of going to press, however there was a great rush both in terms of the registrations and at the stands – last year the attendance figure was stated to be over 25,000. The visitors of the event include primarily marketing experts from the industry, trade and service sector as well as specialists from advertising and promotional products agencies.

Several internationally operating, European brands were also represented at the Gifts World, however the offer was dominated by articles for the specific Indian market. In addition to typical regional, often handicraft items, give-aways, writing instruments and electronic products as well as items made of leather and calendars – often with a local touch – were presented.

A detailed report will be printed in the coming issue of eppi magazine, No. 112 (August 24, 2016).
