A – The Congress Centre at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna was completely dedicated to haptic advertising and visual communications on April 21, 2016. In the scope of the marke|ding|, 130 promotional products suppliers, brand-name companies and suppliers of related marketing disciplines presented their current line-ups in several magnificent ballrooms and salons of the historical building complex. Austria’s largest promotional products show, which has not only been staged in Wels, in Upper Austria, but also in the Austrian capital for the last six years, hereby exceeded all expectations: With, according to the official figures, 2,221 registered visitors, last year’s attendance figure of 1,498 visitors was almost doubled. The trade audience from purchasing and marketing departments attended the event upon the invitations of the seven sponsor agencies Forum Werbegeschenke, KW open, Mitraco, Nowak Werbeartikel, Pro Concept, Schäfer Shop and Schrecks Goodies as well as in response to the marketing activities carried out in advance by the trade show initiator, Martin Zettl. The feedback of the seven participating promotional products distributors was correspondingly positive, as was that of the exhibiting suppliers. Whether suppliers of standard products or niche players, whether represented with a stand in the ballroom or in the side-wing, whether a first-time exhibitor or a rebooker – all parties involved were delighted with the quality and quantity of the visitors.

Whereas the product show was enhanced by four specialised lectures on marketing and communication themes for the first time this year, the exhibition of the finalists of the marke|ding| award as usual formed an integral part of the event: The visitors selected their favourites per iPad voting. The entry that received the most votes will be distinguished with the public prize at the marke|ding| plus in Wels on September 21 and 22, 2016. Previous to this, the marke|ding| event in Lucerne, Switzerland is scheduled to take place on June 1 and 2, 2016.

A detailed report will follow in eppi magazine, No. 111 (June 8, 2016).
