F – This year’s spring edition of Maison&Objet was staged from January 22-26 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre. According to the official figures, 76,417 buyers (September 2015: approx. 69,000) attended the international trade show for design, living trends and interior design, which is organised by SAFI, a subsidiary of Ateliers d’Art de France and Reed Exhibitions France. Compared to last year’s September issue, the share of international visitors declined by 8%, whereby the share of visitors from the neighbouring countries and France itself (+4%) increased (Belgium: +14%, the Netherlands: +4%, Spain: +1%).
48% of the visitors came from 143 countries from all over the globe to examine the offers and product line-ups of the 2,978 exhibitors, 55% of whom were from abroad (September 2015: 3,318 exhibitors). The trade show was accompanied by a comprehensive supporting programme, including numerous lectures, the awards for the best aspiring young designers, workshops and diverse special zones.
This year’s September edition of the Maison&Objet Paris is scheduled to take place from September 2-6, parallel to the Paris Design Week, which runs from September 3-10, 2016.
