Promotional Product Expo: New name, trusted concept


UK – Trade Only became Customer Focus, the Trade Only National Show became the Promotional Product Expo: For the first time on January 20 and 21, 2016 the British promotional products show organised by Customer Focus was staged under its new name at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, England. The British promotional products association, BPMA (British Promotional Merchandise Association), which had supported the show for years, was no longer on board.

ppe_300x208According to official sources, more than 300 promotional products suppliers exhibited in the Jaguar Hall and in the Premiere Pavilion of the Stadium. This corresponds to a decline in exhibitors compared to 2015 (350), whereas at the same time it also enabled a new hall plan, which was welcomed by many exhibitors. Once again, the appearance of the trade fair was professional and attractive and a good international mix of products was offered – a considerable share of the exhibitors came from outside of the UK. Approx. 2,500 visitors from the trade (2015: approx. 3,000) – most of them British distributors – came to Coventry according to the official post-show Report. There was a steady flow of visitors, so the satisfaction level of the exhibitors was accordingly high.

The supporting programme of the Promotional Product Expo included a lecture programme as well as the PPD Awards Dinner on the evening of the first exhibition day, at which the PPD Awards were presented for the first time ever.
