D – In the scope of the General Annual Meeting of the German Promotional Products Association (GWW) in Berlin on December 16, 2015, the Event Director PSI Exhibitions Silke Frank presented the concept proposed by the GWW Trade Shows Working Committee on the target group expansion of the PSI Show. Basically it is about granting end users access to the PSI Show from 2017 onwards under certain conditions. Up until now, Europe’s largest trade fair for promotional products was officially exclusively open to promotional products suppliers and distributors following the closed-shop principle.

The concept foresees allowing exclusively promotional products distributors that belong to the PSI network to invite their previously accredited customers to the trade show for a one-day visit on the last day of the event. All customers that have been invited to visit the PSI Show by the trade are to receive specially marked admission tickets with a respective visual indication. They will be associated to the distributor that has invited them via the registration. Admission is free of charge for the invited end customers. The end customers and distributors are to wear different coloured badges. The exhibitors are to be briefed in advance that no direct sales are allowed to be transacted.

Furthermore, it is planned to change the schedule of the PSI Show from Tuesday to Thursday. As such, the PSI Show 2017 will take place in Düsseldorf from January 10-12, and will open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
