On the second day, further political topics were discussed. Presented by Dr. Tanja Wiebe (Fin Tax policy advice), Ronald Eckert and Josef Bösl (Kahla) discussed the tax legislation problems for the promotional products industry that result from the current legal situation in Germany with the MP Lothar Binding, the financial political spokesman of the SPD parliamentary group, and Olav Gutting (CDU), member of the Financial Committee of the German Federal Parliament, Michael Pleines (Ferrero) and the tax expert, Dr. Janine von Wolfersdorff (IFS Berlin). In particular, the very vivid and precise lecture of Dr. Wolfersdorff advised the industry to plea for urgently necessary reforms. The lectures by the lawyer Justus Schneidewind on the current developments regarding the insolvency act and by Prof. Gabriel Felbermayr (ifo) on the effects of the high influx of refugees on the society, economy and political situation were also very convincing.
