D – The award ceremony of the PSI Sustainability Awards 2015 took place on September 11, 2015 at the Classic Remise in Düsseldorf in the scope of an evening event at this year’s Trend, a product show organised by the united federation of the German promotional products industry, GWW. The sustainability prize that is conferred in eight categories by the Düsseldorf-based industry service provider, PSI (Promotional Product Service Institute), and which is sponsored by Daiber’s own brand, James & Nicholson, aims to pay tribute to certificates and own initiatives in the promotional products sector in the areas CSR and sustainability. According to official accounts, over 100 entries were submitted – including companies, initiatives, products and campaigns – which were appraised by an expert jury comprising of seven members based on economic, ecological and social aspects. 38 of the entries were nominated for the PSI Sustainability Awards.
Walter Medien asserted itself against the competition in the category “Economic Excellence”, Kahla won the race in the rubric “Environmental Excellence”. Brand Addition claimed the “Social Excellence” award, the prize for the “Environment Initiative” went to Halfar. uma was distinguished for its “Social Initiative”, Fair Squared won the “Sustainable Product” award with climate-neutral condoms and Michael Schiffer Promotion headed the ranks in the category “Sustainable Campaign”. Furthermore, Walter Medien won the overall “Sustainable Company of the Year” award because its corporate strategy encompasses many aspects from the seven categories.
