D – The 28th edition of the Trend show was staged at the Euromoda in Neuss on September 11 and 12, 2015, which at the same time celebrated the premiere of the product show organised under the flag of the new united federation of the German promotional products industry, GWW. As part of a new, strong association, the Trend 2015 took on a new expressive appearance in blue – instead of the customary yellow. Otherwise, the established concept of the trade fair remained unchanged: 103 exhibitors presented their products in several showrooms on the 5th floor of the Fashion-Business-Center Euromoda amid the customary quiet, concentrated atmosphere that provides plenty of room for discussions and professional catering. As the starting signal for the year-end business and an obligatory get-together, Trend is considered to be a success by the majority of the exhibiting companies, even though, as always, attendance was lower on the Saturday. Around 450 promotional products consultants and wholesalers (2014: 635 visitors) informed themselves about the offers of the suppliers and used the product show as a welcome source of inspiration for the commencing Christmas business.
This year, there was a new location for the evening event that was held on the evening of the first exhibition day: The organisers had opted for the Classic Remise in Düsseldorf – a listed, round building that has been lovingly restored, which particularly made the hearts of vintage car fans beat faster with its presentation of historical and classic vehicles. A further novelty that evening, which was attended by 394 visitors according to the official figures, was the award ceremony of the first PSI Sustainability Awards. Staged during the gala dinner and professionally hosted, the award ceremony took up a lot of the evening.
