S – The summer edition of the Promotionmässan took place at the Kistamässan exhibition centre in Stockholm from August 18-20, 2015. According to the official figures, 146 exhibitors presented their products and services in the centrally located exhibition centre close to the Arlanda Airport. This meant that the number of exhibitors declined again. At the winter edition of the product show that is held twice a year, 159 promotional products suppliers and manufacturers from Sweden, the neighbouring Scandinavian and further European countries exhibited their line-ups and at the summer edition in 2014, the number of exhibitors was 174. Remarkable this year: Significantly fewer classic textile companies presented their portfolios, however, the home textiles/household goods sector occupied a higher amount of exhibition space. Elaborate, exceptionally beautiful stands contributed to the impressive appearance of the trade show. The Promotionmässan is organised by the exhibition company Artexis in collaboration with the Swedish industry associations SBPR (Svensk Branschförening Profil- och Reklamartikler) and the PWA (Promotion Wholesalers Association).
According to the organisers, 2,186 visitors from the promotional products trade attended the show, which corresponds to approx. 15% less than in the previous year (summer edition 2014: 2,585). The summer edition of the Promotionmässan was once again accompanied by a seminar programme on industry-relevant themes. The “Best Christmas Gift” competition was newly introduced this year, this involved the visitors voting for the best Christmas product. As in the past years, the best stand was also distinguished. Vinga of Sweden won the race this year.
The next winter edition of the Promotionmässan is scheduled to take place at Kistamässen from January 19-21, 2016. A detailed report will be published in eppi magazine, No. 107 (October 7, 2015).
