D – The Promotional Gift Award that has been conferred by WA Media since 2003 pays tribute annually to developments and creative performances in the area of haptic advertising that distinguishes itself from the masses. In order to do justice more specifically to the diversity of the communication aims that are pursued through the implementation of haptic advertising, a new category has been introduced for the Promotional Gift Award 2016: For the first time ever, promotional products manufacturers and distributors, agencies and companies can have their new developments and highlights from the merchandising segment assessed by the jury. In this connection “Merchandising” is understood to be products and product collections, which are designed in the CI of a club, brand, artist, event, etc. that can be purchased by fans.
Including the new category, there are now in total eight rubrics, in which the Promotional Gift Award can be presented. The remaining categories are “Give-aways”, “Communicative Products”, “Premium Products and Brand Articles”, “Best Practice”, “Custom-made Designs”, “Customising Technologies” and “Packaging” (definitions of the respective categories can be found at www.promotionaward.com). The deadline for the Promotional Gift Award 2016 is November 11, 2015. Companies that submit their products by September 30, 2015, profit from the early bird rate: Participation then costs 180 Euros per entry, from October 1, 2015 onwards, the entry fee costs 220 Euros. The award-winning products will be presented in an own exhibition at the HAPTICA® live ‘16 on March 16, 2016 at the World Conference Center Bonn. The official prize ceremony will also take place at the HAPTICA® live.
