D – The Deutsche Messe AG and Reed Exhibitions Germany have for the time being ended their cooperation for the PSI Promotion World that was initially limited to two events. “Both parties are in agreement that for a sustainably profitable event the number of exhibiting companies was too low,” was the reason stated in a PSI press release for this decision.

The PSI Promotion World, which was revamped last year, was held once at each of the alternating venues, i.e. at the Hanover Fair and the CeBIT. Both of the organising parties appraised the interest of the visitors as being “thoroughly satisfying”. According to the official figures, the premiere of the three-day promotional products show that is open to users attracted 10,200 visitors during the Hanover Fair last year, whereas 9,815 visitors attended this year’s event that was held parallel to the CeBIT. However, the decisive reason for cancelling the cooperation was stated to be the low number of exhibitors: 96 companies this year, 92 companies last year – according to the organisers not enough to cover the costs.
