D – Three years after its inception, the concept of the HAPTICA® live is receiving plenty of positive feedback and the number of people interested in the event increases continuously: In 2015, 1,299 visitors came to the “Experience of Haptic Advertising“ – an increase of 35.4% compared to the previous year (959 visitors). 67% of the visitors were users of promotional products (trade visitors from the marketing and purchasing sectors, directors of companies as well as the employees of advertising agencies), 33% came from the promotional products industry.
The main catchment area of the HAPTICA® live ‘15 with 110 exhibitors (+ 41% compared to 2014) was the region around Cologne: 70% of the visitors came from within a radius of around 200 km. Just under 6% of the participants made their way to Cologne from neighbouring foreign countries – primarily from the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Switzerland – one fourth of the attendees came from the rest of Germany.
The organisers of the HAPTICA® live, WA Media, questioned all participants electronically regarding their impressions after the event. Not only the response rate of over 20% is proof of the interest aroused by the HAPTICA® live, the contents of the one-day event also prove very popular. The outcome of the anonymous results: 92% of the visitors stated that their expectations had been fulfilled, 93% intend to return again in 2016. A much higher number of trade visitors than in the previous years came to the HAPTICA® live armed with concrete enquiries: 45% of the respondents said that they were searching for specific items for already planned projects (2014: 28%). The most frequent reason stated for visiting the HAPTICA® live – 83% of the respondents – was to hunt for product novelties.
In 2016, the HAPTICA® live will be moving to a new location, which meets the needs of the growing event and offers both the visitors and the exhibitors more comfort. The fourth edition will be staged on March 16, 2016 at the World Conference Center in Bonn, where a new event building has been erected, which offers plenty of space, modern technology, an ideal infrastructure incl. generous parking options.
