D – The European printing trade fair Fespa 2015 closed its doors on May 22, 2015 in Cologne with a record attendance: According to the official figures over the five days of the event, 23,137 people visited the exhibition halls, in order to gather information on the latest trends of the printing industry – an over 5% increase compared to the Fespa 2013 in London. The number of visits increased by 17% up to 43,775. In total, 750 exhibitors presented their products and services.
The trade fair Fespa is held in Europe every two to three years at alternating venues and comprises of the Fespa (screen, digital and textile printing), Fespa Fabric (textile printing), European Sign Expo (sign making) and Printeriors (printed interior design) events. The series of shows is conducted by the organisation of the same name, Fespa, an amalgamation between national printing associations, which organises leading exhibitions of the printing industry worldwide.
In addition to numerous exhibitions, presentations and lectures, which also turn the Fespa into an important meeting point as an education event, the Fespa Awards were also conferred on the second evening of the show during a gala dinner.
